If you haven’t already made the switch from cable tv to satellite TV, what are you waiting for? Be a part of TV history. There’s a whole new world of entertainment, news and sports waiting for you to explore. But if you’ve decided on satellite TV over cable television, you’ve still left with a choice to make you should choose DirectTV or go with other satellite TV provider (Dish Network). Here are several reasons to make the switch from any cable/satellite TV to Direct Satellite TV.
Channel selection
This is the most important fact in choosing a television service. You’ll want to know is what channels are included. Direct TV has more than 256 top channels including over 135 channels in HD to meet of HDTV viewers. This includes more live sports broadcasts more than any offered by any television service. Only on Direct TV you can find your favorite sports programming like NFL Sunday Ticket, NCAA Mega March Madness and Nascar HotPass special programs. Besides that, Direct TV also has a number of original programming and local channels are included in all DirectTV packages where you will not miss local news, weather and events in your area.
.
Activation Fees
Direct TV will activate your service for free but dish Network will charge you about 50 dollars per being a new customer. Direct TV also offers equipment, TV satellite installation, HDTV upgrades, DVR and all for free. Even they respect your freedom of choice and allow you to purchase the equipment from anywhere else if you want it.
But maybe that was not enough for you. This is in my recommendation one of the most important things to do – If you need another reason, feel free to visit their website or give a call to their 24/7 customer support. I would never write this if you do not find the best TV satellite service and get a quick response from Direct TV.

They are terrible if you ever have to leave them. We moved for work recently and our new apartment complex has no signal. We were very happy with the service in our old complex and they said they will move us for free and if they could not set up service in your new place they will void the contract (we were one year in on a two year contract). When the technician arrived he imediately stated that we would not have local channels. He went on to say that he could not get a signal. He told me the contract would be voided. This never happened. I called to follow up and was told that I would be charged an early cancellation fee of $240. I disputed this they offered to send another technician out to verify. He also said there was no signal but he said he needed a supervisor to sign off on it. There was none available. My wife then called and we thought again that the situation was resolved. They charged my account $61.37 and another $130 pending now they are offering another technician. This is meant to be a reputable company. Instead we have been given the run around. My wife and I have talked to more than a dozen reps and three technicians and still they make us suffer. I currently have time warner cable and am still being charged for direct tv. The receivers currrently lie in the back of my car. If you get Direct tv make sure you do not move in the middle of the contract. I feel like I did a deal with the devil!
